Accepted the offer yesterday. Today was my last day at the Milpitas company. Talked to lots of people during the day, answered technical question that came up at the last minute, and had a pleasant farewell happy hour with the gang at El Torito in Milpitas. Going to miss working with my friends. New territory ahead. Starts on Monday.

News tidbit:
"Google today announced that is has expanded the size of it's web index to over six billion items. These items comprise of 4.28 billion web pages, 880 million images, 845 million usenet messages, and an ever enlarging collecion of book-related information pages."

SearchEngineLowdown is tracking some timely and relevant news on the likes of Google, Yahoo, and the upstarts. I'm finding it to be harder-working than SearchEngineJournal and SergeThibodeau. We'll see how long it lasts.
